Once again, I got distracted from Jak 2 and instead played this. I'd wanted to play earlier, but being the cheap college student that I am, I refuse to pay more than $20 for a game. So I waited till it went on sale, and I found it and had to play it immediately.
Epic Mickey
Wii-Junction Point Studios, Disney Interactive Studios Nintendo-2010
Epic Mickey was just a cute game. Sadly, it's one of the few games that I couldn't play for extended periods of time because it made me feel ill. I blame it on being OCD because I felt the need to paint and fix EVERYTHING!
Game play was alright. It was a pretty easy game overall. Nothing too complicated or strenuous. I really liked how you had different options of destroying things or making them better. I'm so happy that they didn't do voices. They did the Zelda approach and just had different sounds (more or less) for the characters and they did a fantastic job with it. I had a spazzy nerd moment at the end when I saw the calender in Mickey's room said it was November 18, which, in case you didn't know, is not only my birthday, but also the day that Steamboat Mickey was aired for the first time. Yeah....I know these things.
Overall I liked the game quite a bit. However, I wish they had added more forgotten Disney characters, as opposed to just the black and white ones. There were a lot of hints of old movies, but I feel it would have been better if they had added more forgotten characters as it would have made the game far more interesting.
I'd recommend this game, once again, if you're looking for something that isn't too serious or hard, as this game was neither. But, it was a good game. :3

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Oh my Flippin Gosh! And 20 year later (well almost) I finally beat this game! I can't believe I was playing this game as a five year old. This game was excruciatingly difficult at times for me, but after 17 years and many hours of childhood agony spent on the puzzles, I have finally beaten it.
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
GameBoy-Nintendo-1993
I love this game. I have yet to hate a Legend of Zelda game. There are a couple that I'm not overly fond of, but I've never hated one.
As said before, this game has taken me some time to beat. I've been playing it on and off since I was five. I found it again and decided to play it for a road trip I was embarking on. So about a week later, TADA! I'm done.
This game isn't a button masher so much as a puzzler. I didn't have too much trouble with any of the bosses. Granted, there were a few moments of frustration with them, but never any moments of throwing the GameBoy into the wall or anything like that. No, the real difficulty of the game was the puzzles. There will be moments of gnashing teethe and ripping out hair.
Since it's a GameBoy game, there isn't any voice acting for me to judge. To be honest, I really enjoy the 8-bit music, and it was, in it's own way, rather pretty. I really like the "Ballad of the Wind Fish."
And that's it for now. I meant to beat Jak 2 next, but I was, needless to say, distracted by Zelda.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
I've played a lot of video games in my life so far, so I wasn't entirely sure where to begin. I decided on Jak and Daxter simply because it's the one I've most recently played through.
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
PS2- Naughty Dog- 2001
Overall I was really fond the game. It was amusing, clever and had likable characters. The story line was mostly believable and not too complicated. It was made back in -gasp- 2001, so the graphics are not quite today's standards but they're not at all bad. The voices weren't too crappy; a couple were a little annoying and I would have cast differently (such as Keira, Gol ) but that's just personal taste, and it doesn't mean they weren't adequate.
It's a very easy game. I was able to beat it 100% in a less than 24 hour time span. To be fair, I have played it before, years ago, so I knew approximately what I was doing. I'd totally recommend this game if you're not looking for something too hardcore. Like I said, it's pretty easy, so it's a nice game to chill to. If you're gonna play it, however, make sure you beat it 100%...it's a bit important if you want a special ending and if you want some idea of what's happening in the sequel.
Speaking of sequels, I'm playing through Jak 2 for the first time right now, and I think I'm almost done. I could be wrong, but hopefully that review will be up soon!

Warning:
I realize no one will probably read this, because if I was you, I highly doubt I'd bother reading this. I'm really alright with that. This is mostly for me to keep track of the games I play and what I think of them.
If you are bothering to read, kudos to you and I like you A LOT! But know now that if you do read, I'm not the best writer, or the best gamer and there's a good probability you will disagree with my views on many things.
Just thought I'd let you know.
